Umrah can be an additional expenditure for our budget. Especially for People with a limited income. So we must have a saving plan. So how to save money for Umrah?
The plan must be simple. Calculate the cost. Add 15 percent inflation margin. Then Divide the value into the number of months. And start saving. We will look every step in detail.
E.g.:
That is the total cost of 1255 USD. Add 15% inflation. 1255+1255x15%=1443.25. So the cost is roughly around 1500. Divided by 12. that is 125 USD per month. Easy right?
I assume you already have a passport.
So what are they expenditures
Visa is the first and foremost important thing. There are 3 costs involved with visa.
Checkout our visa guide.
The cost of umrah can vary according to the place where you live because the flight tickets are the most expensive cost in comparison to other expenses. So it's best to identify which airways takes you to your umrah destination faster and safer. And which month of the year the ticket prices are low.
Next thing is the hotel booking.
Here we need to decide on two things
Staying an extra day is an additional cost. But the comfort? It can be a distance from the mosque. Walking too far, after lots of Ibadats can be tiring. Check out the hotel guide.
Transportation within Saudi Arabia is the third expenditure that you have to consider. What are they? Read relevant article to find out in details.
Food is, of course, the fourth expenditure. A meal could cost you around 15 to 30. The portion of the food can be enough for 1.25 adult. Didn't understand? 5 people can have 4 food. Read our food guide.
Clothing is the fifth expenditure. Men and woman must be modest clothing. Plus men need to wear ihram when he is performing umrah.
And vaseline or any other lubricant.
Check out what to pack for umrah.
How to wear ihram?
