How to budget your umrah - Cost of umrah
It's very important to know what is the cost of an umrah. Before you plan it, you must have a plan to save that money. Read here to know how to save money for umrah?

The cost of the visa and flight tickets can be considered as a fixed cost. It's most unlikely to change. But the charges involving hotel and food varies with the number of days you are going to spend in the KSA. Transportation can vary according to your needs.
The travel agents take a lot of passengers. Then they share the costs of hotel and transportation. So the unit cost per person becomes low.
You can do the same thing.
You should answer a few questions before you prepare the budget.
How many days is your journey going to be?
Are you going to Madinah?
Are you arriving and departing from the same airport?

The cost Of the flight tickets can vary. It is advisable to plan well and book a flight ticket way advance. So it will be cheap.
Hotel cost is variable. You can perform a very cheap umrah too, But the hotel will be far from the mosque. I have seen lots of people travelling to perform umrah from hotels which were more than 10 mins walk from the mosque.
Check out our my hotel guide here. So a reasonable hotel at a reasonable distance from the mosque will cost you US$50 a night.
Transportation costs will include transportation from the airport to the hotel, hotel to the airport, Ziyarat and between Makkah and Madinah. If you are going to Madinah, it is best to use the Madinah airport too. Because it saves money on flight tickets and transportation, it saves time also. Especially if you are travelling alone, these are the rough costs of transportation in US dollars.

Food is your choice. You can eat expensive food. But remember the purpose of your travel. You can easily fill your stomach at US$ 15.
For Women, if you do not have modest clothing, you have to buy. On the other hand, men must wear ihram to perform umrah. So buy ihram.
Shopping?? Keep it to a minimum. I bought dates from Madina. So keep around USD 50.

Add a 10 percent inflation adjustment. So it will be USD 2277. Divide that into numerous of months you want to save. If you are going to save money for a year.
2277÷12= 190 per month.
